CVS PRODUCTS
CONTROL VALVES - Series E Globe Valves
Available sizes in the Series ED & ET Globe Valves: 1, 1½, 2, 2½, 3, 4, 6 and 8 inch
Available sizes in the Series EZ Globe Valve: 1, 1-1/2, and 2 inch
The CVS Series E is a single port globe-style body with composition or metal seats and a balanced “push-down-to-close” valve plug.
There are three styles of valves available:
- Design “CVS ED” is intended for general control application over a wide variety of temperature and pressure drops.
- Design “CVS ET” is intended for applications requiring low leakage rates with composition seating (TFE) for tight shutoff requirements or metal-to-metal seating for higher temperature capabilities. The valve plug has a two-piece upper seal.
- Design "CVS EZ" valves are globe-style with integral end connections, post guiding, and quick-change trim. These valves are used in chemical or hydrocarbon processing applications or in applications that require control of non-lubricating, viscous, or other hard-to-handle fluids.
*Flow Characteristics are Equal percentage, quick opening,
The flow direction for standard cages ("CVS ED & CVS ET") is flow down, and the flow direction for the CVS EZ is up through the seat ring with the following flow characteristics available: linear, quick opening, and equal percent.
The end connections are ANSI Class 150, 300 and 600 Raised Face or Ring Type joint flanges as per ASME B16.34-1996.
Valve bodies are available in LCC, WCB and 316sst material.

CONTROL VALVES - Series EW Globe Valves
Available in sizes 4x2, 8x4, 8x6, 10x8, 12x6, and 12x8 inch
The CVS Series EWD, EWS and EWT valve bodies are a single port globe-style body with cage guiding, clamped seat rings and “push-down-to-close” plug action.
There are three styles of valves available:
- Design “CVS EWD” is intended for general control application over a wide variety of temperature and pressure drops. This design has a balanced plug with metal-to-metal seating.
- Design “CVS EWS” is intended for applications requiring better shutoff capabilities than those suitable for the EWD. This valve uses an unbalanced valve plug with metal-to-metal seating or optional metal-to-TFE seating.
- Design "CVS EWT" is suitable for applications with stringent shutoff requirements. This valve uses a balanced valve plug with metal-to-TFE seating, or metal-to-metal seating for higher temperatures.
The flow direction for EWD and EWT is normally flow down, and the EWS is normally flow up with the following flow characteristics available: linear, quick opening, and equal percent.
The end connections are ANSI Class 300, 600, and 900 Raised Face or Ring Type joint flanges. Buttwelded ends are available in Schedule 40 or 80 for class 300 and 600 and schedule 80 or XXS for class 900.
Valve bodies are available in LCC, WCB and 316sst material.

CHEMICAL PUMPS - Series 51
The CVS Controls gas driven Series 51 Injector uses a molded diaphragm to drive a piston through the chevron packing making it a positive displacement pump, capable of discharge pressures up to 6000 PSIG.
A pilot valve directs incoming operating gas behind the diaphragm, which causes the diaphragm to stroke forward. The valve shuts off the inlet pressure and opens to expel the spent gas behind the diaphragm and the cycle repeats.
A choice of three plunger sizes, and two stroke lengths, allows for a wide range in capacity, from less than one quart to 30 gallons per day.
The Micro Valve unit is a miniature valve offering reliability and rugged construction. With an over-centre, snap action-action operator, the unit consists of a three-way, two-position valve. The unit offers sure response, no neutral position and no varying time lag between positions. The unit maintains either position without holding force, and cannot be vibrated or jarred out of position. The Micro Valve Unit negates any requirement for lubrication in the pump cavity, making this unit environmentally friendly.
The standard fluid end is ductile iron with stainless steel trim and plunger. All stainless steel is an available option.
Applications:
- Introduction of de-emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, de-scaling agents, solvents and oxygen scavengers
- Injection of surfactant (soap) into low-pressure gas wells with high water content
- Methanol injection in gas pipelines
- Water treatment

PRESSURE CONTROLLERS
CVS Controls offers two types of pressure controllers:
- Proportional (CVS 4150)
- Proportional Reset (CVS 4160)
The CVS 4150 and 4160 are pneumatic pressure controllers that utilize a bourdon tube or bellows for sensing vapor, liquid or gas pressure, and differential pressure. The CVS controller can be reconfigured from direct, to reverse acting or vice versa without any additional parts.
|
The CVS Pressure Controllers offer dependability, toughness, sturdy construction, reliable performance, and accurate service. With regular scheduled maintenance, the pressure controller will provide continuous service for many years.
The CVS 4150 and CVS 4160 Pressure Controller is a weatherproof unit, and can be either mounted on the yoke of a control valve, wall mounted or panel mounted.
CVS Controls manufactures Control Valves and associated instrumentation products to specification that facilitate the direct replacement with FISHER* process control equipment.
